People speak figuratively about laughing and crying at the same time. When I heard UNICEF spokesperson Patrick McCormick on a PBS news show note about Port-au-Prince, "I mean, this is a place where buildings collapsed even when there's not an earthquake," I literally cried as I laughed. Talk about dark humor.
