It's that old stand-by, the "It's been so long since I've posted" post.

Hey, it's been 13 months since last I update my blog. That's the way blogs are I guess, the personal, not lucrative, not monetized ones. I'm thinking about putting actual content up on my website, the website that is myfirstandlastnamedotcom and think I should link also to this blog or incorporate the blog directly into the site. If so I should start updating this sporadically at least and look into the archives and see if there's anything that needs to be scrubbed if I'm going to have my real name associated with the blog. Blahg blog blerg gosh that is still an awful sounding word. I think in a few years we'll have phased out the word for the most part as things just become tumblrs and twitter feeds and websites that update in reverse chronological order. And VH1 will have Michael Ian Black talking about blogs on "I Love the Aught's." Back five to ten years ago I killed a lot of time watching all the junk programming on VH1 and the MTV's and E! and whatnot...now I guess I spend that time watching sports and ESPN. All in all it's probably a move sideways, just as far as value and usefulness are concerned. Oh, what I was going to say was: even though I might scrub some stuff from my earlier posts, it's not like there was actually anything incriminating in there. I'm just pretty circumspect about revealing much about my interior life to (potentially) anyone and everyone. Which doesn't set me up to be much of a blogger, but I never claimed to be.
